How can the nav data in such a thing be updated? The donor car is in illinois and I am in arizona. The guys says nav works for chicago but here? And he has no disks or remote. He says it works fine and I just pay the shipping but if I can't get new data for it, why bother? Disks sold on auction are from 2010. Again, why bother? I found a pioneer update site to login to but is it still active and what would it cost me as not original registered owner to get update? Thank you from new member Tom.

The avic n1's were some of pioneer's best available at the time. Feature rich and superbly clean pre-amp outputs. Hell yeah it's worth it for just shipping! Even by today's standards, it has a lot of options for customizing audio output. It even had a sort of dsp built in that would let you do time alignment, individual speaker volume, and active 2-way front stage if I remember correctly. The preamp outputs were super clean then and still are today. The voltage isn't high by today's standards, but clean nonetheless.

I would jump on that deal. Screw the navigation. That's the heart of a top end system if you want.

If you don’t end up taking it. Would you mind passing along his info? I have a buddy who could use this big time and we’re in IL. Nav wouldn’t effect him.
