Looking for advice or suggestions on my product selection for a budget oriented sq system. This will be my first true install. THe vehicle is a 2008 Chevy Colorado ext cab.

The equipment I've decided on is:

Headunit: eclipse cd7200mkii
Front Stage: PPI 356cs in passive mode
Sub Stage: Dayton HF15"
Amplifers: (1) MB Quart DSC4125 with ch1 and 2 for front stage and ch3&4 bridged to sub.
Wiring: Knukoncepts 0awg

For noise reduction, i'm thinking about spraying Spectrum to 3mils thickness on the floor, roof and inner door skins, and apply a single layer or damplifer to close up the doors.

What do you guys think about my plan? What would you do differently?

Thanks.

The only thing I don't like about your plan is that you're spending some serious coin on a head unit that you aren't even going to take advantage of. If you intend to stay passive you're wasting your money. If you plan to go active eventually then I can understand.

Looks good. I don't think you'll really need the 0awg for that amp, but it won't hurt it. 4awg would be suffice (unless you plan to add additional amps later?).

I agree to a point. Some may just want the EQ side for the tonal aspect of it. If the point is for the headunit only then I agree it is a waste of money! if you just want sound get a good 24 bit head for $120 like a kenwood 493 or one of the pioneer prem units.

Is the KDC-X993 capable of going active or would I need to get an external crossover if I wanted to go active at some point? I didn't find anything by searching. I like this HU due to the price point and ability to disable the internal amp. Seems to have the right features for me.
