Hi,

I have alpine old school products:

7618 cassette
3900dac processor
5959S changer

I try install this today but i dont can controller volume and dont listen radio.

Do you know what i can to make for this works fine?

I already try all connections.

In this moment works only changer by optical cable, but i dont work radio and volume controller.

3900dac is fixed input and 7618 switch fixed level output.

I get same photos from my system. See below:

1-I turn m-bus from 7618 in 3900dac and m-bus from 5959s 3900dac.
2-rca cable from audison amplifier turn in "fixed level" in 3900dac
3-optical cable turn from 5959s in 3900dac (changer
input)
4-apine 7618 tape switch "fixed level"

I tried put rca from 3900dac in 7618 (front, rear) and not work.

I no have radio, volume control, bass, teble.

Only work 5959s changer but with fixed volume. Fixed volume is very high.

If i turn rca cable from audison amplifier in 7618 direct and without 3900dac the radio and volume control works fine.

Do you can help me?

Thanks
Bruno

From what you have said, (and from what I can see in the photo's) I don't think you have either the front or rear preouts (either one) from the 7618 plugged in to the Analog Input (fixed level) on the 3900.

You'll need this for it to work.

SO, RCA out from 7618 to fixed input on 3900 and then RCA outpts of 3900 to your amps.

Hi Andy,

Thanks a lot for your help.

I make diagram with my install now. See:

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/947...59sinstall.png

fixed level output from 3900dac switched on or off?
aux input from 3900dac switched on or off?

Where i put in audison RCA in 3900Dac? front, rear, non fading, or fixed level output?

Where i put in 3900dac RCA in 7618? front, rear, changer?

Thanks
Bruno
