Hello!
I'm interested in powering MB Quart 216 (6.5" components) in my S2000, and I don't plan on running a sub off the amp.

The speaker specs are:

* Peak: 280 watts per set / 140 watts each side
* RMS: 140 watts per set / 70 watts each side
* 4 ohms impedence

I currently have an Alpine head unit, and was looking at Alpine amps.

Would you recommend:

Alpine PDX 4.100

or MRP-F300

I think the PDX is more power than I need (not a bad thing) but it's smaller (A VERY GOOD THING) in size.

Thanks for your input, and if you think another amp would work better, I'm interested in your thoughts.

And feel free to PM me if you have something you think I'd like.... :)

I do not already have them. A friend may be pulling his out of his car, otherwise I'm looking to buy.

Also, I'm now seriously considering a PPI A404 as the amp, if you have opinions.

you planning on running those comps active? if not what will you use the other 2 channels for if your not running the sub off that same amp?

I'm so sorry -- I'm such a noob.
I don't know what 'active' means.

But I ended up buying a PPI A404 off a member that I'm going to run (bridged) as the amp for these components.

I hope that makes sense, sorry for my ignorance. :)
