Did you check any of the probably 10 often used car audio retail websites?

woofersetc.com
sonicelectronix.com
onlinecarstereo.com

Just to name a few.

sure did.. just lookin for suggestions, if u dont like it u dont have to look at or answer the question
Seems like you narrowed the field down already, shouldn't be too hard.
That's not a very big budget for an amp of that much true output, especially at 4 ohms.

If you bump it up another $100, things start to look better.

yeah hes pretty cheap.. has a cheap sub now and i think its a pyle amp.. since its a svc 4ohm, i would want to look for a 2 channel to bridge to it?
Well his best bet it to find the most powerful two channel and run it bridged.

I have no idea the quality of these amps or the accuracy of their ratings but here you go, it's probably better than what he has now, $139.

POWERBASS ASA 800.2 (ASA8002) <br>2-Channel 1600W ASA Series AMPLIFIER
thats what i figured... still tryin to talk him into getting comps and an amp for upfront but he says theres no point to that

If that's what he thinks, then there is no reason to get anything better than that Powerbass amp I linked to. It's cheap, may not sound all that great, but it's just powering a sub and he obviously doesn't care about a good sounding audio system anyway.

true.. i work with quite a few ppl like that
MAYBE Hifonics. At that budget, probly 800-watts RMS @ 4-ohms at best. I would suggest hunting for prices on a Hifonics 2000-watt sub amp. You might find one. I'm too lazy to look right now.

Okay, fine. This is the cheapest true power 800-watt RMS @ 4-ohm sub amp I could find and it's used on ebay:

^^^How do you know how cheap it is? The auction has 5 days left.

There is a "buy it now" price of $325 on the auction. It is the cheapest price on ebay for this amp. Have a nice day Mr. Jerky. ;)
is this a decent amp and do they do rated power?

AP2000 - Profile 2 Ch 2000 Watt Amplifier

also think i got him talked into getting some comps and this amp if they are any good:

Even if it makes rated power (it might), it would be a VERY inefficient amplifier. Bridged it would be operating well below 50% efficiency and likely be too much for your car's electrical. You should really look into class-d amps.

So the OP says the guy has a budget of $220 and you link him to an amp that's $325...yeah that makes sense.
I'm selling my PG Xenon X600.1 amp, 800w rms from 1-4ohms, $175 + sh.

I wanted to show the OP what the cheapest 4-ohm 800-watt RMS sub amp costs. Time for you to find someone else to bug now.

That's an idiotic statement (not like that's a shock). You have no way of knowing if that amp is the cheapest 800 watt amp.
If you can find a 25 to Life Punch 150, it will give you roughly 850 to 1000 watts RMS @ 4 ohms.

I paid $150 for mine used!
