Ive been looking into a diy setup and I was leaning towards the dayton drivers. are there any 4 ohm drivers out there that would be comparable to the daytons? i dont like the idea of having to buy twice the amp to power the daytons since they dont seem to be very efficient. maybe an efficient 8 ohm driver would work as well. any suggestions

If you are a patient man, then wait awhile cause Dayton is releasing a 4 ohm "car audio" version of its ever popular RS series drivers. The new drivers will be unshielded and debucked...

These are actually very nice drivers... I have a pair of 5" mids I will be sending in for testing along with a Dayton DC200...

If you are looking for Mids & tweets... the 8/4ohm thing is a non issue... now for midbass I can see the cause for concern...

Actually I did think about doing that but I want to keep things looking stock and there is only room for one behind the stock grill in the door.
