BRO....I got excited.....then I read the frequencies on the channels. ugh...... too good to be true. On the highs, it only goes down to 125hz(i need down to at least 50hx and up to 15khz) and on the upper end 8khz and then the sub only goes down to 31hz which I need down to 20hz. So close. I think i'm gonna end up with a cerwin vega or a fosgate dsr1..... I'm thinking about posting a wanted ad for a dsr1.......

I appreciate all you do! some of you guys have been most helpful. I'm glad I joined this forum. I'm still trying to read that whole thread about the dsr1 before buying one.
Oh buy that. From crutchfeild. It's finicky. But so is everything at that price point.
Try it. For 2 months. Don't like it. Send it back. For free. Get it.

We're looking forward to your review. :D
And I'll be glad to let you guys know if its a worthy entry level unit. The vega is not available yet and I don't want to wait. This budget unit seems to tick all the boxes for me and is available. i'm just a little apprehensive because I see no user reviews or videos on it. I may have to be the guinea pig.......

I emailed DS18 and asked if they would be willing to send me one for review and post it here. waiting to see what they say. Would be nice to have a decent entry level option available for us guys just getting into the dsp game and don't want invest "helix" level $$ into it.
That's a great idea! Fingers crossed!

What about this unit? DS18 DSP8.8BT 8-Channel In and 8-Channel Out Digital Sound Processor with Bluetooth

It has all the features I’m looking for. Very in-depth instructions on how to set it up. The price is cheap enough. Signal to noise looks acceptable. I just can’t find but two reviews on it as it’s very new.
I dont know if you will find a lot of reviews on it. This is sorta the issue with the brand and price point and this is not to say it is a bad unit. We have a few dealers that have DS product close by. The people that purchase DS may not be interested in DSP. The people walking into shops inquiring about DSP, dont look at DS product. Here locally, the DS stuff plays really well with the like it very loud crowd, which is what I mention about might not find reviews. Buy it and install it, looks like you have 30 day return. My assumption would be you will find out in days if you like or dont like the unit.

Have you looked to see if they show or allow a demo of the software?

I have the app on my phone, downloaded last night. So far, I like it, much better than the dayton app. Hopefully they will send me a unit at least at a discount and I'll let you guys know how it works.

@DasFriek Tried a DS18 DSP awhile back and it was a dud from what I remember, Maybe he will chime in with some info for you.

I would go with a quality used dsp before I gambled with 300.00 on this DS18 unit.

I was just about to post the thread but can't find it.
There are so many dsp threads.
But ya his was a dud. Twice if I remember.
The first would not turn on or turn on and then turn off.
The second also had some sort of issue but don't remember at all. They sucked though.

Meh.....I used the internet search....I forgot about searching here.....honestly I didn't bother checking here because when dsp is discussed.... its "get a helix" so i figured no one would be brave enough to post a cheap unit on here.....well except for me. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that I'm mistaken....
