Meh.....I used the internet search....I forgot about searching here.....honestly I didn't bother checking here because when dsp is discussed.... its "get a helix" so i figured no one would be brave enough to post a cheap unit on here.....well except for me. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that I'm mistaken....
A long time ago it didn't work anyway. I mean it worked. But...it would give you results.
But damned if you were Any better off.

I haven't tried to use the actual site search function since I came back to it. Back then it was pretty much useless.
So I always just use Google with a diyma tag.
Good to see it works now.
Yeah, I still very often use the site:diymobileaudio.com: method, but when you know which member posted, and you have a good keyword, the diyma Advanced Search function can work very well.

I'm used to other forums search function not working worth a poo....i usually end up better off searching from the web....in this case...not so much. Looks like dasfreik already attempted a mini review with his....but it looks like he had quite alot going on with his install and the complexity may have played a role. I dunno. Then i looked at the ESX unit but thats out of my budget when I factor in shipping and Bluetooth module....plus I really like the remote that you have to also buy separate. sigh...

Give ANS a message and see what he has. He gets all the good stuff from Europe at great prices.
i like the ESX DSP he sold me, i doubt many people in the USA own one. You can order one from Germany threw Ebay.

Meh..... I really like the idea of being able to make changes at anytime. Really good deal tho....and i was really considering it. I've had several times when I had a dsp in the cart and almost bought it.....but I'm having a hard time making up my mind. If yours worked with the iphone, I'd be on it.
I paired a Clarion EQ with my Dayton DSP. That way I can tune and still make changes on the fly with the Clarion. And the sub stage goes from the Clarion to the amp so the bass knob built into the EQ has full control of the subs. And it also has a volume knob for the mids and highs.

this.

plus if you tune it well enough, you shouldnt need to make changes.

I use the subwoofer level on the HU and the 14-point EQ to make any fine adjustments if need be. typically I don't: EQ set to flat, subwoofer set to +/- 0dB.

I just can’t make up my damn mind! One minute I’m wanting this dsp or that dsp and then the next minute I’m thinking just use passive crossovers and then use the dsp-LF on my subs. Well I unhooked it about a month ago because the battery went dead in my car and this thing locked up and I didn’t feel like resetting it or messing with it anymore. Seems like the stereo sounded better without it. Then tonight I reset it and ran a self equalization on it but this time used a Dayton mic instead of my phones mic. Then made a couple tweaks. Now I’m really realizing I need a decent dsp. I know this little turd is a POS and if it makes it sound this much better, I’ll be happy with something at least as good or better but this one makes a little noise at idle (idle, I mean with volume down all the way and car off, it’s not alternator whine).
Truth be told, I’m dragging my feet because I have a wedding coming up for one of my kids and that’s going to cost me, so I’m trying not to waste 6, 7 or 800+$$$ on a dsp. That’s why I have a budget and I’m more or less cheaping out. I really keep considering a dsr1 unfortunately. Seems to work ok as a standalone. HAS TO BE better than this Dayton dsp.

or buy used. That what I did to get a DSP. Grabbed one on the forum and I think I was 200 bucks in total. I also hate to say it but look on facebook. I fought joining that big bad monster until recently. It is amazing how much more traffic, discussion is happening there vs forums. After joining a few groups, I see how many things people are selling through the groups or on marketplace.

I bought my JBL DSP4806 for $199 refurbished.
I was really considering this, looking at it on crutch field. My only hold up is it doesn't have an app to touch up the tuning. This whole debacle is a compromise one way or the other. No one makes the ideal setup..... thats remotely affordable and has good reviews.

I wish it had an app, but I've tuned it so I never need to touch it again; you shouldn't be touching crossovers and PEQ without a microphone and tuning software anyway.

When I had a Dayton DSP, the only time I used the app was to show anyone curious how the DSP worked.

I would actually say its biggest downfall is that it's only 40watt at 4ohm vs 60watt at 2ohm. Need to purchase pretty sensitive 4ohm speakers if you need volume. And with my small cabin I was doing a LOT of cutting of peaks which significantly limited the output.

For those that have had noise issues running the Dayton DSP408; I picked up some used, studio quality 1:1 input transformers (Jensen JT-11P) on eBay for $150 to balance the inputs to the DSP. This requires a little skill with a soldering iron and shrink tube, but the transformers completely eliminate common-mode noise and ground loops; my system is dead quiet.
