I'm curious if anyone has experience with this tweeter and specifically how high they crossed it (yes I did see the review but it didn't say how high it was crossed).

I am currently modeling it with a passive crossover (LR4 acoustic target using 3rd order electrical), and it seems to cross best with the woofer at 2800hz due to woofer breakup with the woofer I'm looking at (no need for a notch filter that way).

Is this too low? I don't have any distortion data on this tweeter so by fs alone I'd guess that 2800hz is the minimum I'd want to cross at and I'm assuming 3K+ would be advisable.

Will I burn my ears out crossing this low or will it be ok as long as I don't crank it?

BTW, I'll be using it off axis and have been modeling it that way (not that it makes a diff for the lowend, which is what I'm concerned about).

Thats a good attitude!
Got my shipping quote fixed and my order is in. Those tweets ($12/each) some peerless mids ($16/each on sale) and the electrical components as I modeled for crossing at 2800hz LR4 (plus a bunch of resistors so I can play with tweeter padding). Should be <$80 (CAN) all in for the diy component set.

I'll do a review of the tweeter once I get it all setup.

The mid/woof was such a good deal I bought a few more and some hivi tweeters (k1) to do some 2-way home audio speakers.

Can't wait. Gotta love new toys.
