The Arc 2300 SE is rated at 330w/channel @4 ohms and 660w/channel @1&2 ohms. The birth sheet I have shows 790w/channel @2 ohms & 14.4vdc.

What I'm wondering is, what would its power output be at 3 Ohms? Would it be around 495w or really more like 450w a channel?

Sorry if this is OT, but the greatest difference in amplitude that the human ear can detect is ~1dB, and I say approximately because it can be a little less than that in the highs range. But in the range where this level of power will be used, it is a solid 1dB at least.

Now, what's the difference in dB from 400 to 500 watts? Exactly 1dB.

Yeah not a lot of difference is it.

But what's the difference between 100f and 220f? Or 28mm of excursion and 32mm?

Hrmm so almost what a 12w7 wants. Lol

Anyhow yeah I'm wondering how I should power my FI Q12 with it. If I should make it a pair of 12"s and under powered both by 300w at least or just go with one overpowered with gains down and don't crank it too far.

I'm not the kinda guy that'll turn it up do its super loud but really distorting but if it sounds good still I may turn it up a bit more for a heavy song now and then.
