No they were used by me for about a 3 month and have been sitting in the original boxes since. These are Gen 1 the best they made and hard to find so I’d be shocked if you found a brand new gen 1 set.

Are the Hertz BNIB?

Question...i see this said often on here. I’m not saying the Gen 1’s weren’t great, but...

Why would Hertz be on generation 3 and making a product that is inferior to generation 1? This makes no sense. Again, I believe that Gen 1’s were excellent. I just find it difficult to believe that Hertz downgraded on the two newer generations.

Carry on.

But, most of the time, the end result outperforms the previous generation. Technology improves. Is there some side-by-side comparison that’s been done that demonstrates that the Gen 1s are better performing than the Gen 2s or 3s? This isn’t like MB Quart selling out or PPI back in the day. What’s changed about Hertz/Audison to support the current versions of their speakers being inferior to previous generations?

I’m just helping by bumping the thread. Hopefully no harm done. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the 1st gen ML. My gen 3s give me goose bumps daily. For the money, it’s hard to imagine anything sounding better. I wish the OP success with the sale.

I’ve had all 3 generations and all of them are fantastic. The 1st gen does sound better to me but the 3s you are running are still very good. My buddy just installed my 2 zero 4 amps on his and it’s the best I’ve heard them sound.
