Hi all, I have a few choices regarding midbass that I was planning to run in my next build, need thoughts on what would provide the best regardless of fabrication etc. My 3 choices are. Brax ml8, Zr-Dream 1, or skanning Fu6. What im planning to run is the skanning, have aluminum pods also so would be stiff and heavy duty. Will be sending plentiful power as a hv venti will be used. Heres a couple pics of the skanning. Will be going in a lexus ls430. Cheers and thanks all for input in advance!

That must of been nice to hold those beauties! I believe they are the best looking drivers ever made... how was the size in comparasion to an 8 inch midbass?

This is really intresting.. will give it a deep thought. Not exactly sure which car i'll be going with since i decided not to go with the lexus yet due to finding out it was a normal package, and the double glazed/laminated windows only comes in the ultra package, and that is one of the main things I was looking forward to in the car due to immense reduction in road noise/viabrations compared to a non-laminated window car.

If yall have any good suggestions for a car that would compensate a great build let me know. Im looking for a 4 door luxury sedan, or a 2 door luxury coupe. 2 cars in mind were the 2000 lexus LS430 or 2019 benz S550 coupe(could go with s63 but no point in extra noise need a smooth quiet ride). Price for vehicle is not too much of an issue have a budget of 100k.(lexus 20k/s550 90k)

Cheers all and thank you so much for the help, suggestions and support!
New E or S class Mercedes with firewall mounted midbass would be my choice for pure sound quality after listening to peters for a good while 👍🏼

I showed how to install the midbass in the firewall in the existing car.

In the glovebox firing to the firewall. I also showed it in this thread. And I finished it in my car. 9L enclosure, absolute stock look, all the foot space.

Haha… you won’t need a front sub when you effectively have two 8” midbass in prime position 😉

Peters merc is silly… I dream of midbass as snappy as the merc 😎

I'm gonna try the firewall thing with the TM8s in my volvo. Hopefully I can get away with no front sub. I'm just curious how high up rear subs can play in the back of an SUV.

I’m really hoping that’s the case after we get my IB 8WM’s tuned up.

I can confirm, that midbass in Peters Merc is just insanelly good - lightning fast and dynamic beyond believe.... it should be a dream for all car audio SQ lovers

Those ZR Speaker Labs 8" can do 30Hz without problem 😝
