Ah... probably my favorite amps... dunno why I just like a good multi channel amp. I love using 5 channel amps in pair for all the channels needed on just 2 amps...

You need power???
Memphis Belle MC-1300D (get over the fact it has Class D section... Not an issue)

Autotek XS-5750 (This is one sexy beast of an amp)

Helix HXA500 (Gorgeous amps, very flexible xOvers...)

Eclipse EA3532 (Highend caps in an entry level amp??? This is a nice pickup on ebay for less then $200... Sexy heatsinks look slick, mature...)
Eclipse EA5532 (Even though I have not owned one of these... If the 3532 included Highend components inside... this big brother should be even better)

The New JBL & Infinity 6 Channel amps look very nice... I have ran into these amps in competitions & they look nice...

I wont comment on how they sound because in the end... I trully believe speaker selection & tuning to be much more important than ANY possibility of there being huge sonic signatures between amps...

Flame on I don't care... But I do encourage you to come show me ;) PM me for driving directions to me in Sunny State of FL :) :) :)

x2 on the jbl 6ch amplifier. It's a solid amplifier with a decent amount of power. Look else where if you're a bass head or pairing it up with inefficient speakers though.

I couldn't agree more racerraul on amp to amp sq. I find it hard to believe that some people would actually spend a 500-1000 dollar on an amp but not on a good processor / measurement equipment...which makes the real difference in sq. :)

I have only owned two 5-ch amps and both performed great.

Soundstream Reference (603 maybe?) that was stolen years ago.

Currently in my beater car:

USAmps 5600x with the extra input. It has modest output (75x4, 250x1) but sounds great so far.

The amp I owned the longest was a 3-ch "cheater" amp: Xtant 3150c.
It had only 3 amplified chanels but had two additional channels shared from the first two zobelly corrected. It sounded great, and I loved the plug-in modules you could customize it with. Unfortunately, she died not too long ago which prompted the USAmps purchase.

I would have to vote for the DLS and the US Amps 5 channels. If you are on a budget, then Hifonics makes a 5 channel

I wouldn't say the best... but all the JL amps are great amps... I hear the old school PPI engineers are over @ JL now... anyone want to coment on that?

How could I have forgotten the USAmps??? Someone shoot me... that 5600x would probably be in everyone of my vehicles if it wasn't for the fact that you can't bridge the 4 channels :( .
And the old school SS multi channel amps were great... up until the probs they had with their boards... all fixed in the Rubicon line though.

The DLS & Arc are indeed very nice... but pricey... If price wasn't a factor I would have to say both of these amps have that high class, mature look that I like so much & would therefore probably have them in my cars by now.

Six channels, 4x100 watts and 2x300 watts.

One of those and I would be a happy man :)

Impact also has an 5-channel amp that´s fairly used in Swedish carstereo comps and has taken the ones that use it to podium places...
The brand new one from Impact is called HC 75.4, unfortunately I don´t remember what the old one was named, but it was a HC series amp...
The new one has:
4x75 watts and 1x250 watts.

Best Wishes
Rutger

How about the upcoming Zed Audio LEVIATHAN? 100w x 4 + 200W x 2!

The Mc 4000 is a monster as well and a bit pricey, ha! ;)
can't wait to see the Leviathan to roll out...it seems like a reminiscent of the Mac MC4000M series...hehe

Honfatboy specifically asked for a 5-ch amp so I left this one out. Though I guess you could bridge the sub channels... ;)

Hopefully, I will have one of these when released just to power my 3-way front stage. :D

Thanks for the input. The mac would be my choice, but too much $. Plus, I would have a wreck from staring over my shoulder while driving, mesmerized by the bouncing blue meters...so pretty...WHAM!

I am interested in those Eclipses mentioned; however, I have to wonder after looking at the site, what's the story on Zeb? Never heard of them.

You mean Zed?

Ever heard of ESX, Rodek, US Acoustics, Hifonics, Lanzar Opti?

They also made Boss amps too though :p

I am running an a/d/s/ 860mx 8x60 watts or upto 4x~150w, sounds great, picked it up for fairly cheap, and its got a trillion configurations. can do 8,7,6,5,or 4 way. you can still find some floating around here and there in the x50 or x60 lines, comes in 2, 4 or 8 channel, and I have the "cookbook" and manuals to configure them if anyone else out there has spent forever looking for them.

Well, if you think the Mac is too pricy then you will not like Zed Audio's Leviathan. When released it should be priced around $1000-$1100.
