hi everyone,

i know for a fact that the 8's would be better especially in a 2way config. but what if its in a 3way setup where we have a dedicated midrange, would that still be the case where if funds are ok, still go with the 8's instead of the 3's?

BTW: as far as intall, i think the 3's would profit more since its small, but in an overall view... what would be better?

I'm gonna be running the 3&8 in my new setup. From my understanding, the 8 loses some treble uptop but allows you to cross lower than the 3. If I had to choose one, I'd use the 8 and eq the top end.
thanks for that bassfromspace... BTW, can you also comment on the installation part of the 2? ill be doing a pillar install on a sedan...

These are strictly on axis speakers in my experience. The 8 will roll off earlier and also exhibit a peak in response about 12k. In a 3 way the Neo 3 PDR is the way to go if you can install it properly, chambered and on axis.
