To get most bang for your buck, I recommend doing it DIY style and scavenge the Classifieds and piece together a set. For example, the 3-way set that I've come up with meets your budget requirements: Seas Neo tweeters, DLS Iridium 3s, ID OEMs.

alright.........hhh..... what kind of car? mounting locations? power? active or passive?
Dayton 7s or 8s, dayton RS100 4 inch mids, and the tweeters of your choice. You might be able to get all the speakers and a processor to do the crossover/EQ duties for under your budget
