I just picked up a 97 Ford Expedition for a winter vehicle. I'm thinking kicks are the way to go with something like a 6.5" sub in the door. Question is, do I run straight 2-way in the kicks or bring the tweeters up to the pillars?

I'm putting wide-banders + tweets in the pillars in my Cadillac, but that's more of a design decision because of space. In the Ford, it's large enough that anything goes. I have not had enough experience with kick installs to know. Are the Qforms kicks decent enough to use after deadening and strengthening?

Equipment wise, this will be low budget. I'm thinking of using Dayton components or something similar on a 4 or 6 channel amp. Might do a 8 or 10" sub in back. Nothing extravagant.
