I just finished my install and I already want to make changes, but I don't want to upgrade any equipment.

Right now I am running my Audison Voce tweeters (92db) and midwoofers (91db) off my Hertz HCP4 amplifier (55W @ <1%, 65W @ 10%). The tweeters are mounted in the a-pillar, and the woofers in the stock door location which has been sealed up fairly well.

I am considering bridging my amp to the mids, which would give them 170W+ each. They are rated at 100W so able to reach their full potential. My question is, will my tweeters get the power they need running off my Pioneer 80prs (14W @ <1%, 22W @ 5%)?

don't do it man.

I was running my tweets off the headunit, mids off 2 channels of a Hertz HE4, and 2 8" subs off a bridged 4ch pioneer, but not really getting the sound I wanted...
So I bridged the hertz amp and ran the mids and tweets in parallel, then disabled the headunit amp to get a bit of SQ as i wasn't using it anymore.
Basically, it sounds loads better now with the mids and tweets on the same bridged channel, plenty of headroom! I thought I needed new mids because I could hear distortion, but it was the headunit amp distorting thru the tweets! Now I can turn it up loads more and the SQ is much better. Now the problem is with that extra volume is that I can now get my sub amp to clip, maybe time to upgrade?

I'm sure it can be OK in some lower powered setups (50w sort of range) but the headunit amps are (generally) so ***** that they're really gonna struggle trying to keep up with anything that even half loud.

I say you should bridge the hertz amp then run your components with the xovers they came with off the bridged channels. I'm no expert but it worked well for me with my focals.
