Anyone know how to create the brushed aluminum finish like on the JL slash series amps? I have a scuff in mine that I need to brush out. I thought it was done with scotchbrite but it's not working.

steel wool maybe??? you may have to redo the entire thing because it most likely wont match up, or maybe it will haha. give it a shot.

Luckily it's on the middle portion of the amp which has a break on the top and bottom from the rest of the front cover. At worst I could just do that whole middle portion to match.

on an ipod site i visited they said to set up a straight edge, then hit it with the scotchbrite, from the logs it looks like it worked well but im not sure how many passes it took:confused: i tried to polish mine with my dremel but ended leaving some nasty holograms... maybe meguiars metal polysh (sic)for polished metal products i've seen it work wonders
