I wanted to pair this peerless sub

http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=2860747.16431&pid=1946

and this two way design from zaphaudio

I would love to do a two way with some dayton rs mids because they are cheaper but no one has done it yet and i don't think i could replace the l18 withan equivalent dayton. any help would be appreciated as i am tired of my cheap jbl "platinum series that came with my computer. I would also be willing to work with Npdang on building something (i'll let him test what ever i buy.) I'm also interested in the exclusive peerless series too.

here's an MTM from the parts express showcase with Dayton RS speakers.

I second that... at the end the RS MTM will probably cost the same as the Seas setup...
I'll be using the RS 7 at home in the near future... i just need to get me the 8's to go in the car so i can move the 7's to the home setup... :D

It seems that most seem to not care whether or not the dayton rs28 tweeter be used they think that the seas stuff is just as good could that mtm tweeter be replaced by the seas stuff it's a lot cheaper or would the crossover be more expensive. or do i need to use the kiss method. Does the MTM setup on parts express need a woofer?

Another question can any one recommend a home a/v reciever that will run these speakers well. i will like to spend less than $300 +/-.

the MT desing with the wood, will run $300.

but if you mean a $300 receiver. Yamaha, Denon, and the one I have Onkyo can be bought at Circuit City or Bestbuy for Exactly that much. I recommed a listen too all. after buying mine, I think I might have liked the Yamaha a little more. but mine is ok. although I ran 4-ohm speakers through it, and its broken, for now.
