I just moved slowly as I measured the volume, then vacuumed it all back out. It was amazingly uneventful. I even re-used the styrofoam beads to confirm the volume of the enclosure once it was complete.
And one last thing, this was only a few months back, no where near 5 years ago
For years I've been toying with the idea of building a spare tire well enclosure. My current setup is awesome, but I'd like more output and I'd like to regain the ability to pass luggage from the trunk into the rear seat. I literally kept a vacuum by my side, but it went surprisingly well. But I had little to no wind and it has been extremely dry.
