I have this hooked up in my 2012 mazda 3 with bose, at the time I was using the stock bose amp, but now have gotten a aftermarket amp, for my front and rear door speaker. Will there be any problems leaving the rp4 mz11 hooked up.
thanks.
thanks.
Ok, I think I get what your saying. I was just wondering if I have it hookup to the stock wiring still, but i'm only using rca's from the headunit the rp4 will not be affecting the sq in any way, right? I'm asking because i'm having some serious muddy, muffled sound problems. The RP4 provides factory harness adapters and steering wheel control interface for putting an aftermarket headunit into specific vehicles. In some vehicles it can pull most of the steering wheel control data of the vehicle Can-Bus.
You can still use the RP4 with your head unit for steering wheel controls. You just need to connect the headunit directly to your new amp(s) and connect the amp(s) to your speakers. The RP4 will still provide steering wheel control to the HU.
Yes it sounds better with a cd.Does it sound OK listening to other sources? CD? FM Radio?
Yes paid spotify, when using the aux with cord plugged into headunit, it sounds very bad, bluetooth is much better. I have tried the AT, did not really care for the way it sounded. Right now I guess I can deal with the way it sounds on bluetooth. What do you think of those eq settings?OK, so the problem is not with the radio or installation or RP4 it must be with either Spotify or the Bluetooth connection.
Are you using a paid Spotify account? If not then the streaming is low bitrate and low quality.
Have you run the auto-tune calibration on the DEH-80PRS? Make sure your system has a good baseline tune before troubleshooting.
When you say using AUX sounds terrible, are you talking about using the AUX input via cable or are you only talking about Bluetooth music streaming?
You might want to try using the aux input cable and see if quality is better.
I don't know anyone to help meYou've got really good components in that system, it should sound awesome if properly tuned.
I can't really explain the problem you are having with the AUX jack - hopefully someone with more experience with the DEH-80PRS will chime in.
I can't really comment on your EQ settings without hearing the system first hand or seeing RTA sweeps.
I think your biggest issue is that the system is not properly tuned. Do you know anyone with an RTA (like Room-EQ-Wizard) that can run a sweep and dial in the tuning?
