this is it, it's been over a year i believe now and i've been having none stop probnlems since I got my alarm installed. I'm on the hunt for somebody who is gonna do this right. a new alarm will be going in.

i'm looking to spend below 200$ for the install, BUT the perks of the job? you get to keep the old goodies, the alarm as far as i'm aware is still 100% working order, the main fob has some wear. but ive had the fob replaced, the brain replaced, and problems persists.

the problems currently are the alarm goes off on its own, and intermited electrical problems, the ocastional flickeirng lights, and a possible connection to an error reading my cars computer has been giving out reguarding my tracktion system. not sure if that's really connected but once i get this electricial problem i can have a profesional work on my car for that. if you can do both, all the better. got questions? ask.

I know we have some bad blood, but id be interested in doing it. I know you were very frustrated and still are about it. Im sorry for that. I was just very busy before and still am. Im not the type to leave a job unfinished. Nothing is promised with electronics. Something might not work the first time you install it or turn it on. Or it might work and then problems arise later. That is for ALL electronics. I told you that the best solution for your car would be to get a bypass that does both the door locks and the rest. Alot less wiring. I do have the programmer for the Xpresskit and Idatalink bypasses. The Xpresskit would be the best choice to use if using a DEI product. And I think the best way to go is to rip out that Autopage system. They are "ok" in my book, but anything DEI is better. I have the Viper 5901 in my car and I dont have any problems. So if you want to work this out, let me know. If not, thats fine and im sorry about the problems.

Should be a nice easy install especially using the XK01. Its usually my go to bypass for applicable GM vehicles. Also a good r/s alarm unit. I have the Viper version in 2 of my cars. One suggestion I have is to buy an external shock sensor (unless its a recently manufactured unit) The older ones had an internal shock sensor which wasn't sensitive enough.

what alarm did you have in there before.? did you at least try adjusting the sensor sensitivity.? havent used many xpresskit bypasses, but DEI always has good products.

finily broke down and spent the dime on a professional install. cost me 460$ but worth every penny. i got the alarm i desired installed, and it works beautifuly! it was 240$ for the labor of the install, 85$ for the removal of the half assed job I had in it, 100$ for the new bypass, they woudln't refuse any of my old gear, only the back up battery and tilt sensor they kept in their and rehooked up at no cost (according to them -_- you alwyas pay for it in the end) but they did a great job. completley stelath install theyr epaired all my wires under the console and moved the brain to above the streering colum. they moved my back up battery into my dash somwhere that ive yet to find my self. probobly for the best :p they did all the other odds and ends and its an exceptional job. oh they also kept my little motorcycle siron that i had on the interior they remounted it somwhere...i don't know where that is either :\ but i can tell you its loud as hell in my car when that thing goes off i'd never wanna sit in it for more than 10 seconds. 130 db's or something it is.

Well im glad that you finally coughed up the money for the install and have a working alarm. I dont care if you called it a "half ass job" when I myself called it a pretty nasty install. I personally wanted to rip all that out and suggest the best parts, and start fresh. (But I was going thru some problems). I dont know what they used, but if they used the XK01 or something similar, that would have cleaned up all that mess underneath. You should have bought the best parts for the job to begin with. And now you dont know where some of the stuff is installed probably because you didnt get to watch the install this time. I really do nice clean installs when I use the best parts and dont have to use a million relays. I have cleaned up someone elses mess so many times its not even funny. So called "pro-installers" who used t-taps, bad grounds, spaghetti messes...etc. So like most things, you do get what you pay for.....
