I've officially got all the major components of my upcoming system, but I don't yet have the vehicle it will be going in. I've tried to use the last year to slowly spread out the cost of some expensive (at least for me) equipment, with the plan to purchase my new vehicle when I get my tax refund.

I currently have the following:

Kenwood 997 Head Unit
JBL MS-8 DSP
JL Audio HD 600/4
JL Audio HD 1200/1
Morel Hybrid 602 Components
Morel Ultimo 124

All this will be going into a new Kia Soul. I've been mentally planning out the system. My goal will be to achieve as much stealth as possible, without sacrificing sound quality. I will be putting together a build log with lots of pics when the time comes. Can't wait!!!!

Sorry to hear that...I know two people with Souls...One is the original model, 2011 I think, and the other is a 2014, after the redesign. Both have had very good luck with them. My uncle has the 2014 and loves it. He let me drive it the last time he was in town...handles great, lots of headroom/legroom, even in the back. Can't wait to get mine and gut the factory stereo :D

Takes balls to gut a brand new car!!

Took me almost 2 years until I decided to add a new HU. That kinda cracked the can open, and nothing has been off limits ever since lol.

Friends definitely look at you like you are crazy when you start cutting up a nice new car. Good luck!
