No, they won't work IB. They can work in really small enclosures though. The ideal range is .03 to .07 sealed

How picky are they about getting 200 watts? Reason I ask is, I have limited amount of space to work with, trying to run a 5 channel amp. would like to run both of these, but am limited to 200 watts at 4 ohms and 2 ohm is not an option for my amp.

I'm sure you would be fine. I was originally going to run them as midbass in my kicks off of a JL 450/4 , but I decided I didn't want to cut that much into my kicks. I replaced these with a smaller midbass. These would rock as either mid-bass or as subs. However, these are not SPL type subs. These are SQ subs

SQ is what I'm looking for but I just realized they are single 4 ohm. No way to wire both of them to my amp and present a 4 ohm load. What do you think of running just 1 of them in as big a box as recommended?

The bigger the box you build the more power you will need to push to them. These are made to be placed in a .3 to .7 size box
