I am planning on a setup for my Hyundai Santa Fe 2020 and I would like to focus on video.

In this regard here is what I intend to use:

HU = android aftermarket with 2x RCA out (because stock unit doesn't play video). I cant use pioneer/alpine/etc because of the style of the head unit.
Speakers = 2-way Seas (6.5" and tweeter) to be run active
Amp1 = JL Audio HD 600/4 for Seas
Amp2 = JL Audio HD 500/1 for Subs
Subs = JL Audio 12W6v3 (1 unit only)
Center speaker = ???
Amp3 (center) = ???
DSP = Helix DSP Mini or DSP.3 (both have the new center channel feature)

Question:
1) How many DSP channels do i need for my setup?
Is it correct that I need 6-channels as indicated below:

channel
1Front L-high (Seas tweeter)
2Front R-high (Seas tweeter)
3Front L-low (Seas 6.5" woofer)
4Front R-low (Seas 6.5" woofer)
5Subwoofer (JL Audio 12w6v3)
6Center

or do i need 8 channels as follows: (2x RCA for subs and 2x RCA for center)

channel
1Front L-high (Seas tweeter)
2Front R-high (Seas tweeter)
3Front L-low (Seas 6.5" woofer)
4Front R-low (Seas 6.5" woofer)
5-left RCASubwoofer (JL Audio 12w6v3)
6-right RCASubwoofer (JL Audio 12w6v3)
7-left RCACenter
8-right RCACenter

2) If i need 6 channels output, will the Helix DSP Mini suffice?
3) If i need 8 channels output, will the Helix DSP.3 suffice?
4) Any good small amp that you can recommend for my center channel speaker?

Thanks.

Pretty sure its just 6 channels as the sub and center will be summed (atleast for sub) from the input channels. I'd grab the 8 channel for future 3 way capability.

Really depends on what you plan on running..

Single center speaker / 2-way with passive or 2-way active...

Mono sub or Stereo subs?

The Helix mini will run the 6-channel setup fine, as will the DSP.3 for the 8 channel.

I will just use 1 center speaker and 1 subwoofer.
I’d recommend the Helix Mini in this case. I used it for about a year and was pleased, but then upgraded to 3-way front, plus single center and single sub so went with Match UP 7DSP.
