Center Channel

Anyone using center channel for SQ system?
How do you configure the signal for the center? Do you sum the L & R?
Is it better to use a mid, midbass or full range driver for the center? My objective is a solid center image without the use of time alignment.
Thanks.

most of the center channels that I have seen or researched have used either a sweet fullrange driver (preferably the same brand as the car midranges)--why that is I dont know, but just the recommendations I have read

or a component set with the tweeter mounted braxially on top of the woofer cone
Thks for the info.
Is it correct to route the L+R to the center channel?
audio control makes a cool processor that takes all the common info out of the left and right rca's...and outputs it to a center channel....and then routes the right info to the right...and left to the left....

probably better to do it that way...
