I've got a set of Hertz ESK165 components in the front doors of my 2007 Volvo s60. I sit a little more than 45 deg off axis. Precison Power i520.4 bridged for 260w per channel RMS. They sound much better than my stock speakers, but I want more midbass. Turns out the crossover is 2500 Hz. The ev165 woofer's response is attached but there is a huge peak at 2000 Hz. The ET20 seems to be doing a good job, graph also attached.
Since I want more midbass, I am toying with the idea off switching out the ev165 for this (same size):
