So I changed my door speakers today and sealed the doors. I have less bass.
I have checked the polarty.

I went from factory 6.5s to hertz comps Hsk165.
They are running off my factory deck until next week when my amps in.

This is just temporary till I get the amp I am just confused why I have less bass. And the factory was 4 ohm also

Most factory speakers are built as cheaply as possible and designed to do as much as possibly with minimal power input. It is not uncommon at all to "upgrade" to much better speakers and lose bass in low-power situations. Once you get your amp hooked up you will appreciate your upgrade MUCH more.

After you throw some real power to them and get them broken in I'm sure you will be happy:D....you can't judge a book by it's cover:rolleyes:

I've noticed a loss in bass with every factory speaker upgrade I've ever done. Factory speakers are typically single cone drivers thus all the power goes to said cone. When you start running 2/3/4 way speakers that power gets divided up. Add a 10" sub and be done with it.
