if it is very light then a power antenna can work.

bit heavier a power headlight motor can work.

with some gears you could use a windshield wiper motor

more expensive would be power seat motors.


I bought a linear actuator for around $75 a few years ago. You can find them on ebay for around that price if you look.

Really depends on what you are doing, the weight of the piece, how far it is moving, and if it is a simple up and down or something else

I'll be selling my select products 10" actuator with the actuator controller in the next couple weeks. I'll PM you when I get it out of the car.

You could also use a RC motor with the right gearing.

You have to know the design that you can use and implement ...then decide what type of motor is needed to move the mechanism.
