Crossover settings

I am curious what I would set my hp crossover settings to on my 9887. I am running (4) Infinity Reference 6822cf's and I want to keep out the lows that tend to distort a cheap set like that.

Its not a quality set of speaks but I am looking to get the most out of them before I upgrade.

Power Handling, RMS 60 watts
Power Handling, Peak 180 watts
Sensitivity (2.83V @ 1m) 93dB
Frequency Response 49Hz - 21kHz
Impedance 2 ohms

I would probably consider 100-120HZ depending on the music you listen to. If you do a lot of hip hop or rap, you may bump it a bit higher.

So is this how it works...

If i set the HP filter at say 120hz it wont let any frequencies below that through?

And if i set the LP filter at 80hz it wont let anything above that through?
