Hey guys !
Right now, I have a pair of CDT QES-1220's to satisfy my bass needs. But, with the amount of stuff going into the trunk, I'd like to free up maybe a little space and going down to a single sub. For that, I was thinking of an Image Dynamics IDMAX 12".
I've heard many good things about the effeciency of this sub, so I'm thinking I'll probably be able to get similarly loud, but with one sub rather than a pair taking up much more space.
But, I don't want this to be a sacrifice to the SQ of my car either. I'm not worried about the midbass aspect of the sub, as my front stage handles down to 40hz, no sweat. And, right now, with the CDTs, I'm getting a bit too much in the subsonic range, so I actualy need to limit this using a High-Pass @ 20hz.
So, with this in mind, would a switch over to the IDMAX be a good or bad idea ? Discuss ! =)
