Dumb question if the day: Im building a box in my hatch area for my subs -- roughly 36"W x 13D x 8"H, which becomes a false floor when the back seats when folded down. I'm wondering if I should install my sound deadening (MLV + CCF) above or below the box? Obviously some holes would have to be cut for the speakers :) Does it matter?

No pics, as the box isn't built yet. The box builder at my local shop wants me to get any sound deadening installed before settling on final dimensions, and I need to know if it indeed goes under the box.

Thanks!

Below. You want it on solid clean metal.

I doubled up. used ccf and mlv on floor, and also attached mlv to the bottom of the floor above the spare tire.
