Dolby 5.1 and DTS in car audio

Watch this if you haven't. I know that streaming services give artist a bonus for tracks recorded in Atmos. So, there is an incentive. I was never a huge fan of 5.1 and DTS for music but Atmos is a different animal, at least for me.

A lot of companies offer you the service once you pay the licensing fees. I see headphone companies are doing that with Atmos. So, the expense goes directly to the consumer if it is a feature they desire.

There's a useless cost, Atmos on headphones.
Gaming Atmos headsets with Atmos compatible games, extremely important for the competitive gamer.

So do they have 3 or more drivers per ear? Because surround doesn't work well without "surrounding" speakers, 2 drivers can only provide minimal front and rear cues.
Not in all cases. Some have 2-3 drivers per side but some use technology with frequency timing to give height or spatial cues with 1 driver per side.
