Is there such a thing? A DSP that has two or more distinct source inputs? Say one stereo input from the HU and another stereo input for tuning. My DSP is kind of buried and is a PITA every time I have to switch the RCA's for tuning.

Why not just run your tuning source through the HU?

What is your setup? What DSP? OEM head unit?

You should be able to accomplish this with a lot of DSPs.

The Alpine H-800 can be set up with 3 separate inputs on the RCA inputs and if you need more you could use the 2 AI net ports with adapters ( KCA-121B ) for a total of 5 separate inputs.:)

as someone mentioned earlier, what about your headunit's AUX input?

if not that, some DSPs offer an AUX input as well. But you're still left with controlling that volume independent of the headunit.

So, in that sense, I would think you could just use another set of inputs on the DSP (since most nowadays have at least 6 channels of input) and then simply turn down the headunit volume and use your software/laptop to control the signal/volume of what's being fed in to that other set of inputs. I don't know this will work, but I think it might. The DSP doesn't know that it's not just a 'rear' channel of your headunit. This is assuming your DSP has multiple channels of input. In which case, just run a secondary set of RCAs to the glovebox and tap in to them when needed.

HU AUX input is another good option. Unfortunately everything else you suggest fails due to the limitations of the Bit Ten.
