I'm throwing my hands in the air. I've been researching past threads on this topic for a few hours and am having a hard time seeing consistency in the responses given when people are asking for guidance on power wire selection for a dual digital amp setup. So, I'm throwing this request for help up here.
Here are the details:
4 Channel Amp: Cerwin-Vega V600.4 (class D) - 4 ohms: 100 watts x 4 chan.
1 Channel Sub Amp: Rockford Fosgate Prime 1,200-Watt Class-D
Head Unit: Alpine ILX-007
Subs are 2 12" Kicker CompRT DVC 2ohm
JBL GTO 6x8 comps up front
Cerwin Vega V68 6x8 coaxial in the rear
My best guess is I need a 0 gauge power wire coming into a distribution block with 4 gauge heading off to each individual amp. Was thinking of going with the "Kolossus Fleks 0 Gauge Dual Amp Power Kit".
Is this overkill because I'm running class D amps with lightweight speakers / subs??
Also, what fuse would I need inline on the power wire?
Thanks for any guidance in advance!
