Product Brand & Model:
Dynaudio MW160

Condition of all items:
The speakers are 8/10 cosmetically because the dude I bought them off actually grinded a couple of notches out of the metal part of the face plate. The speakers function perfectly, the cones and rubber are in great shape. There is also some sticky sound deadener residue on the back of the speaker

Total Price: :

Asking 140 shipped

Shipping Terms: :
USPS CONUS

Pictures: - Unless you are a Upgraded member, or your last 10 iTrader feedbacks are positive, you must post a picture of the exact item you are selling.
You can see the top part where it was grinded, its not much but its there.

Here is the other notch, there are two on each speaker

Look at them cones, perfect!

Additional info:

I am selling because I just got some HAT L6's and I am still going through a phase where I want to try as much brands as I can. These things are beasts, they are built like a tank and they gave a really powerful feeling of midbass.

I am willing to trade for some tweeters or an active HU. Let me know if you have any questions.

You ever try these in a sealed enclosure, or are they optimum for IB. I am in search of A set of MB's to complete my 3 way. I may not have enough volume for the Exodus anarchys
I have never tried these other then IB in my doors, but I am pretty sure Dyn uses these same drivers in some of there home theatre speakers and those enclosures are much smaller then a car door airspace-wise. Granted the enclosures are ported but still not a lot of air space so I think they would sound fine in a non IB setup.

I looked at those exodus speakers they look nice but they also look huge.

How high will the dyns play b4 breakup?
I never ran into breakup except when I tried them full range with 300w going to them. I've run them up to 3khz just for the heck of it with no breakup. I've read thats the primary purpose of the huge 3" voice coil, to control the breakup by attaching further towards the outside of the cone. That was with the 162 Dyn. Haven't experimented much with the 650s but they definitely have a nicer midrange.
