my first post here since im just delving into DIY audip but i figure maybe someone here could help out with this

I am wondering how the midwoofers in the EDI 6500 set sompare to some of the other things that are out there. They are said to be upgraded versions of the HD-62 set from CDT and it is an exact CDT 1 inch tweeter.

I am wondering how these compare as opposed to lets say the Seas, morel , DLS , silver flutes or other DIY style drivers,,, maybe even dayton and dynaudio.

I am currently running active off of some D7 series amps and have the flexiblity to go 3 way for the front stage if need be. I like my current sound but havent really heard many of these other brands since no one in my area uses them but I hear so many good things online. I was just curious how what im running compares and what would be some viable replacements

I have been looking into the Seas drivers but not sure what would work for my application

also alittle of my musical taste is as follows if this helps i listen to a mix of rock and rap mainly focusing in on classical rock and I guess you would say 90's rock also. I occasionally like to listen to some nice jazz or what not like the weather report my main listening diet is anything from the doors, pearl jam, guns and roses, stevie ray vaungh, metallica and so on.

As for the speakers I have all the amps now to run a full active setup doing three way and would love to take advantage of it,,,

My main goal is a SQ install that has the ability to get loud if I want it to,,,

current setup is as follows

Eclipse 8454
Edi 6500 set in kick pods
extra eu-650 woofers in doors
(2) ED 16ov.2's at 29 hz
Esoteric E7152
Esoteric E7054
Diamond D5300.4
Nine.1
