I'm rewiring my setup and adding a new amp.

the situation
Zapco 1000.4 to front woofers and sub - no whine

Arc Audio 4050XXK (4 channel) 1 and 2 to front tweeters - no whine

I connect rcas to Arc Audio 4050XXK channel 3 and 4 - i get whine

I connect rcas to Arc Audio 4050XXK channel 3 and 4 AND remove channel 1 and 2 to tweeters -no whine

I connect rcas to Arc Audio 4050XXK channel 1 and 2 - i get whine again.

Is there something with the Arc Audio 4 channel that doens tlet me have all 4 channels working w/o whine?
DO i need to up my ground and power from 8 to 4 gauge?
Is there a ground issue?
Am i creating a ground loop only when both amps are wired to full capacity?
All power wires are away from rca signal wires.
any ideas?
thanks

You outline your RCAs, amp and speakers (a little) but don't mention the source at all.. Or WHICH set of RCAs you are hooking up..

Are you running 4ch of RCA into the 4050? If so which is giving whine and which isn't?

Heya thanks for the response. Its when I add the 3rd channel on the 4050, regardless of which it is. So if I have tweeters hooked up to channels 3/4 and nothing to 1/2 no whine- add a channel 1 or 2 - whine. If I have rears hooked up to 1/2 and nothing ot 3/4 no whine- add channel 3 or 4- whine. Now if i switch rcas same thing happens. Point is it seems that im completing a ground loop when I add any 3rd channel on that amp.
Thanks in advance,
Rob
