eq / crossover...any reason not to go with a DQXS??

Hey guys,
All my parts to my first diy setup are slowly arriving and need to order a crossover and eq to finish the setup. I'm running a kenwood xxv-05v indash unit (which has time alignment), going to whatever crossover, then to a memphis mc300 for the mids, another mc300 for the highs, and a mojo for the subs. I was looking at the audiocontrol dqxs for all of its features in a nice small package. can anyone recommend anything else or does this seem like a logical choice??? was also looking at the alpine but don't really want to install another HU size controller up front. thanks for any and all input.

I think it's a good choice. Just remember that the attenuation slopes are 24db/oct. I use an audio control 6xs, with the same slopes. You just have to pay attention to x-over points vs. response characteristics of the drivers...not like you wouldn't have to do that anyway :)

yeah, thats the only thing i don't like about the dqxs is that the slopes are set in stone, actually i wish it had time alignment for each channel too. i really like the features of the alpine but i refuse to install a second HU in my dash just to control it. Are there any others out there that combine a 2/3way crossover and eq, other than the audiocontrol and alpine???
Carver, Zapco, PPI, Behringer, ARC...there is a slew of them out there.
