I saw the post of an easy jig and I must say that is awesome, mad props. I thought I would post my Ghetto Jig too. Mine took less than 5 minutes to make and cost $2.15.

I went to home depot and got the piece of metal you see in the pic. It is really thin and comes with a bunch of holes. Of course I just drilled holes wherever I wanted and it turned out great.

The router is a Ryobi Laminate trimmer and I have to say it is CRAP if you are trying to use it as a router. Was good enough for my purposes but then I carpeted every thing in the end.

Yep thats an easy way to do it.

I'm actually salvaging the sliding mechanism from my Crafstman circle guide and making a body from solid wood.

I like your idea for it's simplicity.

This works well for a few circles. But what about two years from now when it's so riddled with holes that you no longer have the ability to drill exactly where you need to.

Also measuring and drilling a hole in the precise location for the exact radius needed seems like a PITA compared to sliding a bolt and tightening a nut.

But for a one time use, balling on a budget, and speed this wins.

I built mine to last me a while. I plan on using it alot!
