My dirst attemp at a pillar builds, not cone out too bad but like an Ass i forgot to drill holes through so it would bond better. Now i trimmed the edges of the fibreglass where it was too thick to fit into dash so when i did that it slightly lifts up from the edges of the glass to pillar. How can i get it to bond on the edges so it doesnt come apart? I built it up by stretching t shirt 2 layers of resin then a layer of mat and resin then another kayer of mat and resin .

In my somewhat limited experience, I've seen more lifting issues from pillars that weren't roughed up and cleaned well enough. I like to use a little "mouse" style sander with 80 grit to go over the area a few times and then wipe it down with some isopropyl before wrapping, that seems to work better than drilling a bunch of holes.

To repair lifts in the past, I've gone in through the speaker opening (and/or the back of the pillar is you have access) with some milkshake mixture (mix of bondo and resin) poured into the corners. I used small clamps and clothes pins to hold the section that lifted into place. Some will inevitably leak through , but it's easy to go back and sand them down to level. I've also used kitty hair filler and a gloved hand to smear it around the inside seam on areas where you can get some fingers in there to work it down.

I did rub it down and it was quite roughed up surface, i spoke to one of my friends whos had more experience than me and he said drill small holes all over it and resin it again and then resin the back and it will hold it no problem. Thats what ive done hopefully will hold

Hopefully drilling holes did the trick. Many of the plastic used for trim pieces will not stick at all to polyester resins (especially polypropylene and polyethylene).

Epoxy works much better for this stuff, but cost and effort go up. But prep is still very important. Clean thoroughly, scuff, clean again. Also, you could have made the pods separate with polyester resin, pulled the pods off, and then glued them back down with epoxy thickened with colloidal silica or wood powder.
