I just got an F150 and I want to do something under the backseat. I played with some dummy JL W7's yesterday and I could fit 1 8w7 under the back seat but it would obviously have to be forward firing. Alternatively I could do 1 12tw5 down firing under the seat.

I have never heard the 12tw5 but I just came out of a vehicle with 3 10W7's on a VRx 1.500 @ 1 ohm so I am partial to the w7.

Or you could sell me on something else. I listen to mainly rock and hard rock and a very responsive is always appreciated.

I'd say go with the W7. I've had a 13" for 6 years...yes 6 years, and never had a problem. I'm finally getting rid of it because I can no longer justify 60 lbs for one subwoofer in a sports car. You have the potential to gain more bass boost from downfiring, but at the expense of possibly making the sound muddy.
