1. Product: Alpine DVA-9860

2. Specs:

Alpine's DVA-9860 DVD/CD player forms an excellent foundation for any budding mobile video system. It plays a variety of formats, houses a built-in amplifier that'll make your music sound great, includes an excellent AM/FM tuner, and offers plenty of connections for expanding your system.

To take advantage of DVD video playback, you'll need to connect an external monitor to the video output. The '9860 will also play your standard CDs, plus the MP3 and WMA files you've burned on disc. You can connect your iPod™ to the player with Alpine's optional control interface. You'll be able to control the iPod using the player, as well as recharge the iPod's battery.

To make sure everything sounds just right, Alpine included advanced sound controls. The Bass Engine® feature allows you to make precise adjustments to the bass and treble frequencies, then "fill out" the sound using the same BBE® processing that's used in professional recording studios. And if you plan on building a full-scale system, you can connect external amplifiers to three sets of preamp outputs.
