DynAudio MW172 mid bass (pair)
Condition of all items:
these are used, however still in excellent condition. with exception to a little dust, the cone and surrounds could pass for perfect condition. since they do not have a gasket on the back of the mounting flange, i used some clear silicone to help seal the mounting flange to my 6x9 to 8” door adapters. i have removed 99%-ish of any remaining silicone (as pictured). take a close look at the pictures and you will see what I am talking about.
slightly different story on the reverse side. approx. 1 year ago the foam that covered the rear pole vent of each driver began to crumble apart. i repaired the foam with plastic mesh and rtv silicone (see pic). as you can see, i got a little sloppy with the application of the silicone. purely cosmetic, does not affect function.
function: these are still a 10/10
i am selling because they will not fit in my new project. these are midbass monsters with a 3” voice coil and relatively shallow mounting depth.
I still have the original boxes, and the extremely difficult to find original grills. I did remove the DynAudio logo and decided to color matched them with SEM Color Coat paint to match my interior. grills have never been used and look great !
