I suppose they are considered entry level.

I like them; the new comp line have soft dome tweeters. It looks like Sony put some serious effort into their GS series line up. They need an amp imo.

I'm not an audiophile, so I can't really describe these. They are FAR better than Alpine's entry level, but I suppose that is not much of a surprise on this forum.

I had an impulse buy and purchased HAT Clarus kit, and like those even better.

I personally would like to hear what others think of them.

I have the older GS, 1720 both components and coax in one of my cars and I think they sound great. I think the older one is metal tweeter so I would like to hear the newer ones. The older ones you could bi-amp also, both component and coax. I thought that was neat.
