So is this a 1 of 1 custom? What is the story? It is damned cool.

Edit: Looked around and found a tiny bit of info, so not totally custom but must be very rare.

No, this is not custom. Someone else may be able to confirm the years these were produced by Tru, but this same amp (Super Billet 8), is on my 2011 price list. Essentially, this is 2 of Tru's 4 x 100 amp boards put into a single billet stainless steel (not aluminum) case to produce 8 channels. Other examples of the Super Billet are:

Super Billet 4 which is 4 x 200 watt @ 4 ohm
Super Billet 6 which is 4 x 100 watt @ 4 ohm and 2 x 200 watt @ 4 ohm

As a point of reference, the base price of the Super Billet 8 in 2011 was $5200, but amp for sale here is the stage 3 which adds $800 to that. This is a $6000 amp (keep in mind that's in 2011 dollars).
