I just installed a new alpine pdx-5 and I keep blowing gothic my 30 amp fuses in the amp. I am grounded directly to my frame and my power wire is coming straight from the battery with a 125 mini ANL online fuse. All of my wiring is 4 gauge knukoncepts.

Is my in line fuse to big? I keep blowing my fuses every time I try to connect it up.

Any advise/help is appreciated

Thanks

remove all the speaker plugs and try powering it up, if it powers you have a problem outside the amp, if it blows the fuse, it's toast..

As others said above, disconnect the speaker wires to rule out that half. If it still pops the 30A fuse then you could use a multimeter and ensure the power wire isn't shorted accidentally. Make sure you remove the wire from the battery and the amp and just measure resistance from one end of the cable to hard chasis ground. It should be infinite or overload (open). Assuming that's all good, the amp is toast.
