Well I'm glad you were able to teach down the issue. Moving forward from a clean start will be refreshing I'm sure! From what i recall the mini is a better processor anyways, and it's integration with REW will help with installing/updating the EQ changes needed.

It's often refreshing to learn when you are wrong through continued research. I feel refreshed LOL. I'm going to take the time up until the DSP comes in to remove and replace the RCAs with better shielded coaxial RCAs, as well a manage the wires a bit better behind that rack.

All right, hot snot! No buzz, no noise, just clean music. Gains all set up for now.

I still need to do a great deal of tuning (and I think I have the routing incorrect), but I'm getting there!

Clean install. I think you can rename channels in the minidsp software. might help with the routing.

That helped! That's all better now. I have my "preliminary" crossovers set -

Tweets - 1200hz up 24dB slope
Door drivers - 90hz - 1200hz 24dB slope
Sub - 20hz - 90hz 24dB slope

This was just my initial set up - baseline if you will. This week I'll start getting into some pink noise.

I have it printed out. I just threw these settings together, the print out is on my desk at the office. Like I said, I wasn't expecting it to come in today.

I have a few other things that need to get done before I get going on a straight forward tune up. Still need to button up my dash, and my sub and box don't come in until Friday. Also need to ensure polarity is correct.

Just the fact that there's no whine is a win for the weekend....

Yes. I haven't started eq-ing yet. But right now my x-overs are:

Tweets (widebands) 900hz- up 24dB slope
Mids 90hz - 2500hz 24db slope
Sub 10hz - 70hz 24dB slope.

I'm trying to find the right mix on the mids.

I ordered direct, got it in 4 days. I was shocked.

It works. I'm still learning, but so far, so good.

DUDE!!! Holy ****! That calculator worked the balls. My stage is almost perfect for me.

It's almost just past the windshield. Incredible! Now to learn REW and PEQ.
