First question: I have been considering the Pioneer Premier TS-D720C. What do you guys think of these? Any other options.

Second question: I have a Kicker KX550.3 due in that I won on ebay. These are the specs:
# RMS Power Ratings:

* 14.4V:
o 70 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms
o 85 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms
o Sub Power:
o 210 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms
o 420 watts x 1 chan. @ 2 ohms
* 12.5V:
o 40 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms
o 70 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms
o Sub Power:
o 180 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms
o 360 watts x 1 chan. @ 2 ohms

My question is how do you get 14.4V?

You get to 14.4 when you start your car hopefully.

If you can get an adjustable voltage regulator...turn it up { the rest of your vehicle may not be designed for higher input voltage thus causing things to burn up }

This is done to sell amplifiers , I'd be more concerned with how much you get at 11 volts.

Input to output is a gain ratio { as many volts in as you can get equals more volts out.

I have seen SPL amps rated at 18 volts input 1,550 watts out, the figure that counted was the 7,000 watts out one 12.5 volts input

Can't say anything about those Pioneers, but I have enjoyed every second of my TS-C720PRS!

They are a few more \$ though. I got mine here used (great shape) for \$180. I think they can be had NIB for just shy of \$250.

Anyway, just a thought. Lots of info on here about some really nice components.

Have fun
