I just bought the kenwood x4r amp and am now looking for a good h/u. For now I'm going to run two channels to the fronts and bridge the others for the sub. Within the next couple of months I plan on picking up another amp to run my sub and will be going active. I was originally thinking of getting the Pioneer 800prs h/u, but now am wondering if I really need all those features of the h/u with the x4r. Would it be worth it to get the 800prs or would I be better of with a different h/u? Thanks

If you've already budgeted for the 800prs...I'd go ahead and get it.

You never know if you'll change amps (you're on this forum, so it will eventually happen, sorry)...so it'd be nice to have the DSP available.

I run an older model Pioneer HU to my x4r and it sounds great btw.
